Allied Health Service
Introduction
Allied Health Services in Centre are formed by a team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and clinical psychologists. The Service, other than providing training and treatment to the users, it also provides training to service staff as well as to deliver community education programmes to the public. |

Occupational Therapy
The Centre has an occupational Therapy Activities Room and a Multisensory Training Room to conduct various vocational therapies, including:
- Sensory Integration Therapy
- Multisensory Therapy
- Structured Teaching for Autistic Persons
- Chewing Assessment and Training
- Working Abilities and Job Skills Training
- Making and Repairing Rehabilitation Aids
Physiotherapy
The Centre has a Physiotherapy Room and a Bath Therapy Room for various physiotherapy procedures using water, electricity, and optical wave as treatment mediums, including:
- Orthopaedics Physiotherapy
- Stroke Physiotherapy
- Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy
- Movements Training
- Bathing Therapy
- Electrotherapy, Ultrasonic and Laser Therapies
Clinical Psychology Service
Psychological assessment: Administering assessment on service users to assess on their psychological functioning, intelligence level, and cognitive functions;
- Psychological assessment: Administering assessment on service users to assess on their psychological functioning, intelligence level, and cognitive functions;
- Psychological Treatment: Individual psychotherapy or group therapy will be provided to service users;
- Providing training to staff in the Centre.
- Provding support to family members and care-givers;
- Offering consultation service to staff on individual cases, conducting in-depth analysis with the staff to explore the probable underlying factors triggering the problems in an individual case;
- Community educationfor the public.
