Residential Respite/ Day Respite
Service Description
In order to provide relief for carers, the Centre offers temporary reprieve hostel accommodation and temporary reprieve day-care services for mentally handicapped or physically handicapped individuals aged 6 or above.
Residential Respite/ Day Respite
Eligibility

Mentally or physically handicapped people aged 6
or above

Physically and mentally suitable for communal
living and not suffering from behavioural problem or contagious disease

In need of a certain level of personal / nursing
care not beyond the level provided by the particular type of residential
service
Residential Respite
- Capacity: 11 persons
- Service hours: 24 hours
- Fees: Services charge(Included meal expenses) will be collected according to the charging scale set by the Social Welfare Department,the air-conditioning expenses will be collected according to our policies.
- Notes: The user may not use this service for a continuous period of more than 14 days.
Day Respite
- Capacity: 14 persons
- Service hours: 9:00am – 9:00pm
- Fees: Services charge (Included meal expenses) will be collected according to the charging scale set by the Social Welfare Department,the air-conditioning expenses will be collected according to our policies.
Notes
- The applicant may telephone the responsible social worker at the Centre to submit an application. If applicant number exceeds the service capacity of
the Centre then placement shall be decided by drawing lot; the social worker would notify the result of the application and service arrangements to the
applicant as soon as possible.
Vocational Rehabilitation and Extended Service
- Capacity: 10 persons
- Eligibility: Service users of Hong Ching Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Centre
- Service description: Providing extended service and respite service for service users so that their families and carers can attend to personal or urgent matters.
- Service hours: 5:00pm – 8:00pm(Mon-Fri), 1:00pm-8:00pm(Sat)
- Fees: Services charge will be collected according to the day respite charge set by the Social Welfare Department,the meal expenses will be collected according to our policies.
