Padma & Hari Harilela
Integrated Rehabilitation Centre(Formerly known as Kwai Chung Integrated
Rehabilitation Centre)has launched its services on December 2010, and was
dedicated on 25 March 2014, to provide services including hostel accommodation,
general training, community education, and support services under a
comprehensive service model.
Service Missions

Service Objectives
  
  - Provide a “one-stop” comprehensive and sustained quality care
  service for individuals with different degrees of mental handicaps;
- Design series of training course according to individual needs to
  enable service users to learn and receive training in a cheerful setting
  in order to enhance their confidence and personal potentials.

Service Charge
Fees Charge(such as residential
fee,meal,activities,miscellaneous expenses, transportation
fee, and so forth)will be collected according to the fees scale set by the
Social Welfare Department and our policies.

Service Description
  
  - Provide residential service, comprehensive training, community
  education and support services in an integrated service model.
- Residential Services provide home living for persons with varies
  disabilities such as severely to mildly mentally handicapped, severely
  disabled, severely physically handicapped and chronic mental patients.
- Day Care Service for Persons with Severe Disabilities is to promote
  care in the community by strengthening the caring capability of families
  or carers through provision of regular day care including nursing,
  rehabilitation, social and personal care services so as to enhance
  opportunities of persons with severe disabilities to continue living in
  the community.
- Day Training service provides day care and training in daily living
  skills and simple work skills to mentally handicapped persons. It trains
  them to become more independent in their daily lives, and prepares them
  for better integration into the community or for transition to other forms
  of service or care.
- Extended Care Programme /Work Extension Programme provide simple
  rehabilitation training as well as social, leisure and developmental
  activities for those trainees who could no longer benefit from prolonged
  or intensive training due to ageing or deterioration of health condition.
- Vocational Training Service provide vocational rehabilitation
  services specially designed to accommodate the limitations arising from
  their disabilities, in which they can be provided with work training,
  develop their social and economic potential, achieve upward mobility in
  vocational rehabilitation, and be prepared for potential advancement to
  open employment.
- Community education and support service aims to organise regular
  interest groups and activities for disabled individuals and convalescent
  psychiatric patients in the community, their families and members of the
  community.
Application Procedure
  
  - Hostel, DAC,ECP,IVRSC and WEP must be referred through the Central
  Referral System for Rehabilitation Services (CRSRehab) of the Social
  Welfare Department.
- Day Care Service for Persons with Severe Disabilities, Respite/
  Extended Service, and community education and support service may be
  referred by social worker or applied by the applicant.
Termination of Service
If the service applicant/user
fails to meet the conditions of admission, either the Kuk or the service
applicant/user may make a rejection/waiver of the application/termination of
the service, provided that the other party is notified in advance and the
relevant formalities are completed.

If the service user / their families have any enquiry or complaint about
the services offered by the Centre, they can contact the Superintendent of
Padma & Hari Harilela Integrated Rehabilitation Centre at 3980-9688 or the
Assistant Principal Social Services Secretary (Rehabilitation Services) at
2277-8888. All complaints are treated confidentially.
