Provide personalised care for mildly mentally handicapped individuals to enhance their abilities for self-care and provide routine household skills training.

Eligibility
- Severely mentally handicapped persons aged 15 or
above
- not bed-ridden or requiring infirmary care
without severe aggressive behaviour endangering self and others
- without infectious disease
Service Hours
Mon to Fri 9:00am ~ 3:30pm

- Hand-eye coordination training
- Muscles training
- Cooking training

- Sensory stimulation
- Learning interpersonal skills
- Training such as knowing the local community and so forth
Special Features
- By adopting different training modes, our day-time training service helps service users to fully develop their interpersonal skills and to improve their abilities for self-care, avoiding deterioration in functioning due to lack of training; In addition, our service also organises recreational and leisure activities for the users to take part in, which would enable them to improve self-confidence and self-recognition, as well as to have fun while learning.
- Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH)
The Centre would provide training and therapy to services users with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, and behavioural problems. Such training and therapy programmes are supervised and designed by occupational therapists and instructors.
- Multisensory Therapy
The Multisensory Therapy Room applies light, sound, olfaction, and various apparatus to create an ambience that arouses a pleasant and relaxing feeling to facilitate self-exploration in secured and comforting surroundings. Individualised or group multisensory training activities are organised by the occupational therapists in the Centre.
