Mode of Service delivery

Conduct site visit and/or interview(s) with the applicant and the employee with disabilities to consider the appropriateness of the proposed assistive devices and/or modification works in facilitating the employee with disabilities to carry out duties at the workplace and to enhance the work efficiency.

Following the approval of the subsidy, to monitor the use of subsidy and assess the effectiveness of the devices procured and/or works carried out.
Assist SWD to promote SPED.

The assessment report on the application shall be submitted to the Committee for consideration.

Set up Office, service hotline and service points for enquiries about SPED.
Special Provisions

Successful applicants are not allowed to sell, rent or transfer any of the items funded by the SPED to other organisations or individuals/ employees, unless with prior approval of Social Welfare Department.

Upon termination of the employment contract(s) with the employee(s) with disabilities concerned, successful applicants should make use of the subsidised items to benefit other employee(s) with disabilities.
