Service Mission

  • To provide persons with disabilities and ex-mentally ill people with proper work environment.
  • To help them develop the right work habits and adapt to their work.
  • To provide them with job skills training, develop their interpersonal skills and interpersonal relationship to prepare them for future open employment.
  • To provide group activities and trainings to promote their physical and mental development and make them more adaptable to the society.

Service Description

  • Provide job training, guide them producing various inlays and packages and teach them to operate various packing machines, make quality goods and handicrafts, etc.
  • Provide outreaching services like auto beauty, handing out leaflets, selling, transportation and cleaning of various places.
  • Regularly hold various social, educational and recreational activities, and provide counselling services.

Eligibility for the Service

  • Persons with disabilities and ex-mentally ill people aged 15 or above.
  • Day-time trainees must arrange commuting for themselves.
  • With basic self-care ability.
  • In stable mental and emotional state, without active infectious disease and severe disturbing behaviour.
  • Having passed the work ability test, and willing to work and capable of working.

Service Capacity:

(including the service capacity of the Work Extension Programme)

Service Hours

Monday to Friday: 9:00 – 17:00
Saturday: 9:00 – 13:00
* The above hours may be varied based on the nature and requirements of the service.

Application Procedure

All referrals can be made by social workers to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services (CRSRehab) of the Social Welfare Department.

Termination of Service

Our Kuk or the service applicants/users can propose rejection or termination of unsuitable cases, or abandonment of application for/self-withdrawal from the service. Advance notification to the other party should be made on such changes and all relevant formalities should be completed before the change.
