About us

Sham Shui Po Integrated Rehabilitation Centre commenced operation on 24 October 2014.  It provides service users with 'one- stop' integrated and seamless care service.


Service objective

l   To provide a one-stop sustained care service for different degrees of disabled.

l   To provide daily living skills training for service users to become more independent in daily living.

l   To provide professional treatment services and care for severe disabilities


Categories of Services

1. Residential Care Service

l   Hostel for moderate mentally handicapped person

l   Hostel for severe mentally handicapped person

l   Care and attention home for severe disabilities


2. Day-Care Service:

l   Day activity centre

l   Day care service for severe disabilities


3. Allied Health Service:

l   Occupational therapy service

l   Physiotherapy service


4. Respite Care Services:

l   Day respite service

l   Residential respite service


5. Community Education and Support Service

l   Support for service users and families

l   Support groups and volunteer service

l   Resources corner

l   Service publicity and promotion


Service Charge

Charges are set by Social Welfare Department and the policy of our Kuk.


Application Procedure

·    Day Activity Centre and Hostel services must be referred through the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services (CRSRehab) of the Social Welfare Department to wait for service.

·    Day Care Service for Persons with Severe Disabilities, Day and Residential Respite services may be referred by social worker or applied by the applicant.


Termination of Service

Either our Kuk or the service users can propose termination of unsuitable cases or self-withdrawal from the centre. Advance notification to the other party should be made on such changes and all relevant formalities should be completed before the change.
